Arrest Made In Residential Break-In
KENLY – A 36 year-old Johnston County man was arrested at the scene of a break-in.
On June 2 around 12:31pm, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglar alarm at a home in the 300 block of Richardson-Bass Road.

Officers said they found Jonathan Jacob Brown of Willow Spring sitting on the front steps. Brown reportedly said someone had been chasing him. Deputies said they found no evidence Brown was being chased.
Brown was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering. He was taken before a magistrate and given a $5,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Detention Center in Smithfield.
