Johnston County 4-H Celebrates Inaugural “Lead With The Clover” Showcase

JOHNSTON COUNTY – A milestone moment unfolded in Johnston County as 4-H hosted its first-ever Lead with the Clover: Johnston County 4-H Showcase, an exciting new tradition that celebrated the talent, leadership, and spirit of local youth.
The inaugural event brought together some of the county’s most promising 4-H members for an evening filled with competition, confidence, and community. Participants showcased their skills through private interviews, clover wear, onstage questions, healthy lifestyle attire, and formal wear presentations. Each young contestant demonstrated not only poise and professionalism but also the heart and dedication that define 4-H.
Johnston County 4-H Agent Meredith Wood shared the vision behind the event, stating, “My vision for the Lead with the Clover program is about so much more than giving out a title. This is about creating a space where young people can learn, build skills, and gain experiences they’ll carry with them for life. Every participant has the chance to practice leadership, professionalism, and confidence, all while being guided and supported through hands-on mentorship. This isn’t just an event—it’s an opportunity to build confidence and lead with purpose.”
As the evening unfolded, the spotlight remained on the hard work and passion of each participant. The event celebrated not only individual accomplishments but also the collective strength and leadership potential of Johnston County’s 4-H community.
The night concluded with the crowning of the 2025 titleholders: Elise Overton was named Miss Johnston County 4-H, and Alivia Johnson earned the title of Junior Miss Johnston County 4-H.
“This event was an incredible opportunity to recognize the talent, dedication, and leadership of our 4-H youth,” said Wood. “We are so proud of every participant and excited to see this program grow in the years to come.”
Johnston County 4-H extends heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, supporters, and attendees whose contributions made the evening a success. Their support helped lay the foundation for what promises to be a cherished annual tradition.
