  1. Why are kids driving golf carts? In my area kids drive golf carts, E bikes and electric scooters like there in a NASCAR race with no consideration or respect for others. It’s time for parents to teach their children about respect and responsibility. The parents and owner of the golf cart need to be held legally and liable for all injuries and damage caused by this kids and their own irresponsibility.

    • @ Think about it- problem is- IS THAT THE CHILDREN’S PARENTS WERE NEVER TAUGHT BE CONSIDERATE, OR RESPECTFUL of other people, nor their property !!! THERE PARENTS Should- BE ABLE IN THEIR CAPACITY- AS PARENTS TO TEACH THEIR KIDS- to be RESPECTFUL, AND CONSIDERATE of other’s property !!! For what it’s worth, in my estimation, we are approaching @ least 2 generations since COMMON SENSE was actually available for any human brain waves to absorb for human sensibility….

That being said the four youths and especially the poor child that went to WAKE MED has my prayers!!! Cause’ everyone has a ” Crazy BAD**S day to REMEMBER their entire lives… hope you’re doing BETTER! Take care!

      • Agreed, parents today don’t want to do the job of being a responsible parent, they expect others to do it and then complain about how it’s done. If you don’t want to do the job (and I mean 24 hour job) of being responsible for raising your rug-rats then don’t have any rug-rats.

  2. Hope they get well. That being said, children should NOT be allowed to drive golf carts on roads.

  3. In North Carolina, the minimum age to operate a golf cart on public streets is 16 years old, and the driver must also possess a valid driver’s license.

  4. “One juvenile was transported to Wake Med in Raleigh and another to Johnston Health in Smithfield.”

Why two hospitals? That means two ambulances.

Really, what is going on here?

    • We have requested wake med in the past when we had something arise that needed medical transport to a hospital.

  5. We had a kid who was about 10 driving down the street here in Mule City. SHe had a TODDLER on board with her. Parents must be morons. Cops were called before they got hurt.
