Steel Pipes Spill In Roundabout Causes Traffic Disruption

JOHNSTON COUNTY — A dump truck pulling an equipment trailer loaded with 18-foot steel water pipes lost part of its load shortly before 2:00 p.m. Monday in the roundabout at NC 96 and NC 42 East.
The pipes spilled into the westbound lane of the roundabout, prompting authorities to divert traffic until the debris could be safely cleared. No injuries were reported in the incident.
