New Clayton License Plate Agency To Open Wednesday

JOHNSTON COUNTY – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will open a new license plate agency (LPA) on Wednesday, October 8 in Clayton.

The new agency is located at 896 Gulley Dr., at the Grand Plaza Shopping Center, in Clayton, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, except on state holidays. The office will be operated by Julio Rosa, Jr.

In North Carolina, NCDMV oversees LPAs, but the agencies are managed by private businesses or local governments.

LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags, disability plates and placards, and duplicate registrations. There are 130 license plate agencies currently operating across North Carolina.

  1. It isn’t so much about the 45 minute drive as it is more about the long , slow line once you get there. They may not be state employees but they move slow and act entitled as many state employees.. many, not all.
