Nine Arrested In Narcotics Search Warrant In Four Oaks

FOUR OAKS — Nine individuals were arrested Wednesday morning following a narcotics search warrant executed by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) at a property on Parkertown Road, just outside the Four Oaks town limits.

The property, located in the 500 block of Parkertown Road off U.S. 301 South, had been under surveillance for several months after authorities received multiple community complaints about suspected drug activity. Following a three-month undercover investigation, JCSO’s Narcotics Division obtained a search warrant, which was served on September 10.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the premises consisted of six structures—five of which were being used as living quarters. During the search, officers seized methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1,650, along with various items of drug paraphernalia.

Nine individuals, all residents of Four Oaks, were taken into custody on a range of drug-related charges:

- Laura Ann Deans, 38 – Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Tammy Lela-Rose Gilbert, 52 – Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
- William Leonard Gilbert Jr., 53 – Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Robert Wayne Whaley, 53 – Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Jamie Marse Barbour, 49 – Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, felony conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Timothy Gerald Matthews Jr., 39 – Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Cynthia Ann DiCorte, 60 – Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a controlled substance, felony conspiracy, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Robin Lee Johnson, 56 – Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Allen Brian Rose, 53 – Possession of drug paraphernalia

The location, which falls within Four Oaks’ extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), had previously been condemned by the Town of Four Oaks Inspections Department due to unsafe living conditions and was reportedly without electricity at the time of the raid.

Officials from the Four Oaks Police Department and the Four Oaks Inspections Department were on site to assist with the operation. Johnston County Environmental Health was later contacted and responded to the scene.

The same location had been raided by JCSO drug agents in March 2024.
Mayor Vic Medlin expressed his appreciation for the joint effort between local and county agencies. “This is the second time the sheriff’s office has been here. I am very, very grateful that the Town and County can work together to make this a safer place,” Medlin said.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Good work JCSO…give us our society back. I vote y’all get more funding soon.
I’m so happy to see this area cleaned up. It has needed it for a long time. Thank you JCSO for doing a great job. There are still more places in the Four Oaks areas that needs cleaning up, but this was a great start!
where is the drugs coming from?
I don’t think the ever heard the saying…”Don’t get high on your on supply”
It’s about time but they will be out and right back over there just like the crack house on the other end of Parkertown Road and Mulberry Road. These sorry excuses for humans are to sorry to work and steal from everyone near by. Been going on for years.
Pete H. They are stealing from everyone in the community and selling it for drugs
Why aren’t the owners fined and made to move those campers?? Deputies waste their time busting these repeat offenders, knowing they will be back at it again!
Mulberry Rd needs to be cleaned up too! The drug addicts pile up on property after somebody’s parent passes away. They abandon innocent animals, use the yards as toilets, and trash the place with cigarette butts and drug paraphernalia. Elderly people in Parkertown can’t even live in peace! Used needles and spoons are thrown out next to the creeks and other water sources! It’s time for the drug addicts to grow ** up!! Get your a**es into rehab and be a productive member of society!
And for any of you drug dealers and thieves reading this, just know that there are more than 20 surveillance cameras up all over Mulberry Rd, and many more up and down Parkertown Rd! And there are even more eyes watching you when you drive or walk by! 😉
I would not recommend trying to steal around there! People are fed up!
How they gonna pay for rehab? 30k for a month. That’s the dilemma in this country..u can’t just walk into rehab. In some cases yea but there aren’t enough “free” beds for everyone. And medically assisted rehab 30k for 45 days
Certain ones are stealing. Just because they use drugs doesn’t make them bad people. The bicycle gang is who is stealing. But sounds like the Star team needs focus on the dealers and not the users.
And let’s not add the fact that the photo they show as the drugs they found is honestly sad it shows nothing more than a user selling to get high they should try and get the bigger fish not always chasing these little ones
Why are they not praising the landowners in this community for telling them what has been going on? We have called law enforcement over and over again! We have done what we were advised to do.And yes, the law enforcement has done what they can do! Thank you all for what you have done! You are all a blessing for helping us as a community.
Thank you too! I wish more people would make an effort to push the drugs out of our neighborhoods!
I can’t believe that Laura had decided to take the wrong path in life, she use to have a good life and a lot going for her and now she lost it all by going down the wrong road in life. I went to school with her, and she had a good job and people who cared and loved her, but I guess she thought that wasn’t good enough for her. Sad to see her this way.
The druggies are smarter than you, this is nothing but their application for 3 hots and a cot ,winters coming.
Same stories day in and day out ! Our mighty God can help , yall need to call on Him to come in and “weed the garden”
He can do anything we ask as long as you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and live life in the manner He has laid out for us!!
Let go and let God!
Too many people are falling into these terrible actions , how low is low ? How long can one continue to get away with bad behavior? Change won’t happen if you the people don’t make a change!!
Together we can make big changes !!
Blessings sent your way for a peaceful life and more positive than negative days ahead !

P-town private eye some of these ppl have been on drugs most of their lives, to sorry to work . Part of them are the bicycle gang. All you have to do is sit back and watch. They are all up and down the roads on bikes day and night. They are the only ones. If JoCo will goto Mulberry road they will find more and the thiefs. They need to go back to the farm on Parkertown Road to get them again. The community is fed up. We are watching and we are going to protect our own whatever it takes!.
Ewwwwww. That’s nasty trash living. Good job keeping these scumbags off our streets
Joco Sheriff office been to this house and the other “farm” other end of Parker town rd. 3 times this year kids gone to DSS everyone to jail. They do their part but the dirt bags keep coming back. Even the house was condemned last time. Sheriff can only do so much, judges, family and community can only stop this revolving door…
Try getting the people help off drugs so they can be contributing citizens again…govt rather help boys turn into girls or vice versa.
