Woman Charged In Two Break-Ins At Same Property

SMITHFIELD — A Selma woman is facing multiple felony charges in connection with two separate break-ins at the same Johnston County property earlier this month.

Amy Gail Davis, 51, of U.S. Highway 70-A, was arrested on September 13 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. She has been charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, and one count of felony conspiracy.

According to investigators, Davis and an accomplice allegedly broke into a barn at a home in the 4200 block of Brogden Road sometime between September 5 and 6, stealing a drill valued at $50.

Just two days later, on September 8, Davis reportedly returned to the same location and stole additional items, including antique bottles, four Jeep rims, a saw, and paper towels. The total value of the stolen property in the second incident was estimated at $710.

Sheriff’s investigators say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
