Four Oaks Man Charged With Felony Breaking & Entering

FOUR OAKS. — A Four Oaks resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a residential break-in and theft reported earlier this summer.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, Steven James Burdick, 35, of Kenan Road, is accused of unlawfully entering a neighbor’s home and stealing a television and microwave. The alleged incident occurred on July 30 at a residence on Kenan Road.

Following an investigation, authorities issued warrants for Burdick’s arrest. He was taken into custody on September 9 and charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.

Burdick was booked into the Johnston County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.

The case remains under investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
