Two Johnston County Residents Appointed To State Advisory Boards By Governor Stein

RALEIGH – Two Johnston County residents have been named to state advisory boards by Governor Josh Stein, according to a recent announcement from the Governor’s Office.

Charles Ralph Hodge has been appointed to the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority as a representative of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 county. Hodge is the president and owner of Ralph Hodge Construction and has worked as a licensed general contractor in North Carolina since 1979. His decades of experience in the construction industry are expected to contribute significantly to the authority’s mission of supporting economic development and improving infrastructure in the state’s more rural areas.

Meanwhile, Dr. Stacey Sowell has been named to the North Carolina State Library Commission as an at-large member. Dr. Sowell currently serves as Vice President of Enrollment Management at Shaw University in Raleigh. Her background in higher education and student services brings a valuable perspective to the commission, which oversees policies and programs for public libraries across the state.
