Car Driver Injured In Crash With School Bus

SELMA – A Johnston County school bus and a passenger car were involved in a collision Tuesday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Pollock Street (US 301) and Waddell Street, in the Selma city limits.

School bus 622 was carrying nine students at the time of the accident. Fortunately, none of the students nor the bus driver were injured, according to authorities.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Selma Police closed the intersection for about an hour to investigate the crash and allow for the damaged vehicles to be towed from the scene. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
