Couple Linked To Shoplifting At Springhill Outfitters, CVS

JOHNSTON COUNTY — A Clayton couple is facing charges after authorities linked them to two separate shoplifting cases reported in Johnston County over the past month.

Mitchell Glen Kuenzler, 32, and Haily Diana Olive, 30, both of Deep Creek Drive in Clayton, were arrested on September 22 following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office. The pair is charged with misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor conspiracy in connection with both incidents.

The first alleged theft occurred on August 26 at Springhill Outfitters, located on Seafood House Road near Selma. Investigators say Kuenzler and Olive entered the store and stole $361.88 worth of clothing before leaving the scene.

The second incident took place on September 17 at the CVS Pharmacy on Veterans Parkway in Garner. According to deputies, the couple allegedly took $29.45 worth of merchandise without paying.

After reviewing surveillance footage and gathering evidence from both locations, deputies identified Kuenzler and Olive as suspects in each case. They were taken into custody without incident.
