Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To B&E Arrests

JOHNSTON COUNTY – Two people were arrested on breaking and entering charges after Johnston County deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call.

Gerry Albert Bjork, age 61, of Stage Drive, Raleigh and Robin Denise Grimes, age 47, of N. Pleasant Coates Road, Benson were arrested.

Around 7:40pm Thursday, March 27, officers responded to the call on Julio Lane off New Bethel Road. Officers said they arrived and found the two individuals in a pickup truck with 5 fire extinguishers in their possession.

Deputies said they determined the fire extinguishers had just been stolen from a storage shed that had been broken into behind a home on Julio Lane.

During their arrests, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was allegedly found in Grimes possession.

Bjork was charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Bail was set at $40,000.

Grimes was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and felony possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $50,000.

  1. Thankfully I’ve never experienced this level of highness, but can someone elaborate on how high you have to be to steal 5 fire extinguishers? Or is there a market for them that I’m unaware of?

  2. If you have enough of them you can turn them in for money to support your next sack of meth.
