Accident Causes Traffic Delays

ARCHER LODGE – Two cars narrowly missed striking head-on, on Covered Bridge Road east of Archer Lodge, Tuesday morning.
The driver of a white pickup truck suffered minor injuries when his truck was spun around in the 7am accident.
Car parts were left strewn over a wide area and traffic heavily delayed following the early morning mishap. A number of school buses were held in the lines of stopped traffic during the cleanup.

The accident took place in a 35 mile per hour speed zone, which has been the location of similar side-swipe collisions in the past.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the accident.

Almost nobody follows the speed limit in that 35mph zone. Whenever I slow down to go through it I’m almost always tailgated.
Too many idiots run through these zones as if this was 10 years ago. You idiots can’t keep going 65 in this area . Calm the h*ll down. .
Especially everyone living in flowers golf side .
Every time some moron tail gates me . They make a turn to that side
I think all of this growth is awesome.
The town/county don’t care they just want to pack as many people (northerners) in as they can. All about a dollar to them. Not a care in the world about infrastructure! Sad to see
