Concrete Truck Overturns

SMITHFIELD – A concrete truck overturned Tuesday morning in the 3100 block of Creech’s Mill Road, east of Smithfield. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m.
According to the Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling northbound when the truck veered off the right side of the road and overturned. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver was able to climb out of the damaged cab before emergency responders arrived. He was evaluated at the scene by Johnston County EMS and declined transport to the hospital.
Brogden Fire Department assisted with traffic control.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation responded to assist with the cleanup.

Tell me how this happens (again and again) if the driver is paying attention.
They should learn to slow down, the dump trucks that frequent the Brogden area are definitely going to fast. Just slow down you will get there soon enough.
Recently I had a cement truck driving behind me on 210 going towards Four Oaks. Sun glare was bad, I was driving close to the speed limit of 55, with the cement truck not keeping a safe distance. When I put my turn signal on and made my turn he blew his horn as of if I did something wrong.
This was at my sister’s home, my brother in law helped the man get out.
