Injuries Reported In School Bus Accident
PRINCETON – Several people were injured in a school bus accident, Wednesday afternoon, in front of Princeton Elementary School on Holt’s Pond Road.
The two vehicle collision occurred around 3:30pm and involved Johnston County school bus number 157 and a white SUV. Numerous emergency vehicles rushed to the scene.
The driver of the SUV was pinned in the wreckage. They were extricated by the Princeton Fire Department and rushed to WakeMed with serious injuries.
Approximately 50 students were on the bus. Several were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Seven others were transported to hospitals in Smithfield and Goldsboro for treatment.
None of the injuries on the bus were life threatening.
Numerous parents rushed to Princeton Elementary to be reunited with their children.
Princeton Police are investigating the cause of the accident. They are being assisted by the State Highway Patrol.

Those big, bright yellow buses are so hard to see.
The driver of the SUV is my brother in law. It is very possible he had a cardiac episode from a newly found issue and passed out. That could be the cause of this. So that sarcastic comment was uncalled for. Instead of being a jerk why not offer prayers for him and the kids on the bus. Luckily there were no serious injuries to the children but I’m sure they are traumatized. But my brother in law is critical right now. Everyone needs prayers right now, not BS comments. Have the day you deserve, God bless.
