Johnston Man Arrested By NC SBI For Child Porn
JOHNSTON COUNTY — The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has arrested a Johnston County man on eight felony charges involving child sexual abuse material. Dominic Michelo Olivares, 30, of Massengill Pond Road, Angier was taken into custody Tuesday morning in Fuquay-Varina.
Olivares faces the following charges:
- Two counts of First-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
- Three counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
- Three counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
Court documents indicate the alleged offenses occurred in 2019. The arrest warrants were issued on Monday in Pitt County. Officials did not say where the alleged offenses occurred.
Following his arrest, Olivares was transported to the Wake County Detention Center, where he appeared before a magistrate. He is currently being held on a $150,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Wake County.
The SBI’s Northeastern District is leading the investigation.
