Fire Damages Southern Johnston County Home
A Tuesday morning fire damaged a southern Johnston County home. Flames broke out around 12:30am at 1390 NC Highway 55.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the origin and cause. Investigators returned to the scene Tuesday afternoon to gather more information.
The Meadow, Newton Grove, Dunn, and Plainview Fire Departments responded.
No injuries were reported, however one person at the home was displaced and is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
