Man Shot In The Face In Domestic Incident

SELMA – Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a Johnston County man critically injured in what officials are calling a domestic-related incident.

The shooting occurred around 4:53 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, on Watson Road, just off U.S. Highway 301 North, outside Selma.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, a 34-year-old man was shot in the face and transported to the hospital with critical injuries. As of the latest update, the victim remains in stable condition.

Investigators have confirmed that the shooting was not a random act, but instead stemmed from a domestic situation. No arrests have been announced, and the sheriff’s office has not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
