Gunfire Damages Two Selma Homes, Vehicle; No Injuries Reported
SELMA – Authorities are investigating after two homes and a vehicle were struck by gunfire early Saturday morning in Selma.
The shooting was reported around 1:00 a.m. on August 24 on Merriman Drive, where bullets struck two adjacent homes and a car parked outside one of the residences.
The estimated damage to the properties and vehicle is approximately $3,000, according to officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Investigators believe the shots were fired from the roadway, and are urging residents in the area to review any home security or surveillance footage that may have captured suspicious vehicles or individuals around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Selma Police or the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
