Elderly Man Found Dead In Pond

PRINCETON – An elderly man was found deceased in a small pond, Monday morning.

Around 9:30am, first responders were dispatched to the 200 block of Howell Road, off US 70 East. The victim was found in a small pond behind a residence.

The name of the deceased person was not released. Authorities said there were no signs of foul play.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
