A Good Book
Your mind is probably on a million things concerning life, what you need is to relax your mind and focus. Sit down and lose yourself into a fictional character’s obstacles or you could go the non-fiction route and learn about someone else’s life and what they had to overcome. Finding a good read could not only take your mind off of your troubles, but it could give you revelations about yourself and can place you in a different world.
Sometimes we are so connected to our screens and social media with all of its notifications that we don’t notice that we’re actually depleting ourselves and quicker than our phone’s battery life. With all of the time that we spend scrolling or sitting, we could be out doing something else–like living or being active–outside. Sometimes you have to unplug yourself and rejoin yourself with the real world. Do it now! (After this article, though.)

Stop Thinking the Wrong Way
I know the reason that you’re most likely in that blah attitude in the first place is because of what you were thinking. Your thoughts affect everything, what you do and what you say–and that attitude. Backtrack–what were you thinking? Then fix it. Was it about someone getting on your nerves? Was it about someone eating your last donut? Or were your thoughts about you comparing yourself to someone else? Were your thoughts about how you aren’t where you feel the need to be at this point in your life? Those thoughts are self-defeating and they most certainly will put you in that blah state-of-mind. First, you need to change your mind. Declare that your thoughts will be more positive and uplifting. Don’t get in an upheaval over little things–save it for the donut situation. But seriously, change your mind to positive thoughts at the first sign of a wrong thought.
Wear bright and fun colors to liven yourself up a bit if you’re feeling down. You could even rearrange your space to include a lot of fresh eye-opening colors to brighten your space–and you. You could also boost your mood to see some color on your hands, you use your hands all of the time, maybe you should brighten them up with a nice color of nail polish. Bright colors can put you in a mood to feel better, try it.
If you’re a woman and you’re looking for a really quick mood booster that also happens to be an accessory, lipstick would be something to try. If you’re a guy, you can try it too–if that’s your sorta thing. On a blah day, my preference is Mac’s Ruby Woo, it instantly applies color to you and it will save you on a blue and blah day. Be sure to always carry it in your purse just in case you run into a situation where you have to get pretty on ‘em.
