Report: Smithfield Police Bust Illegal Massage Parlor

SMITHFIELD – An investigation into an illegal massage parlor has led to the arrest of the alleged operator.

Smithfield Police believe the unlicensed business had been operating for approximately three weeks out of an office in the 700 block of Wilkins Street.

During a search of the office, evidence of suspected prostitution was reportedly found.

The business was reportedly operating without a state massage and body therapy permit.

Xueling Yang, age 41, of Smithfield was charged with misdemeanor operating an adult establishment – message and bodywork therapy without a license, and felony promoting prostitution.

Numerous items were seized during a search of the Wilkins Street office including cash, cell phones, and a fake NC cosmetic license.

Yang was arrested July 10 and held under a $40,000 bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

Police said Xueling Yang has a history of operating unlicensed massage businesses in other states.

  1. way more sh*t to focus on than this, I mean seriously! oldest profession around and they still try to control it because they want a piece of the money. where are the libtards with my body my choice now is your time to shine, stand up speak out let’s hear it. yeah, I didn’t think so

    • Massage parlors are the oldest profession around? If you live near a school, just walk in and sit in a classroom. It will be good for you.

      • No, actually its a very old profession. Been around as long as prostitution and just about as long as people. Maybe you should study before hurling insult.

        • Totally agreed, massage has been part of ancient Asian medicine for thousands of years, including what she was doing. Told Tha Troof really does need to read some history books.

    • These nasty old toothless pervs that still think prostitution is ok! You don’t see how that type of “work” causes little and teen girls from all countries, mostly usa, to be kidnapped and forced to work in these places against their will? You don’t see how those places are a breading ground for all std’s/hiv that are then spread back to the family the man goes home to? Get out of the corn field and read something!

      • Laura, you are the one that’s misinformed. The government would have you think this, and it is true in some cases, but not this one or the majority of them. The vast majority of these women operate these business themselves and are in no way forced or coerced into this. Many make over a $1K a day. They do it under the radar as the in NC the state licensing board actively tries to discriminate against Asians in the field as they are the board member’s main competition and have been since its inception. It’s a continuation of the Jim Crow laws requiring the applicant to speak fluent English and rarely transferring licenses from other states. I have tried to learn Chinese and Korean before and they are some of the hardest languages to learn as there is nothing in common with English. There is no need to be perfectly fluent in English to do this occupation, just an understanding of the language needed to conduct business. So maybe if the massage board that was created by other massage therapists would remove the racist policies you would see less illegal businesses as this is purely discrimination against legal immigrants and if you have to break one law to make a living then who cares about two. You can go to Flushing New York and see want ads for these business everywhere. However, you probably don’t want to see the real issue as it would destroy your false and uneducated narrative.

  2. “ Police said Xueling Yang has a history of operating unlicensed massage businesses in other states”

Time to teach her a lesson

    Forced?? Nope. Just greedy

  4. In the middle of the Bible belt the devil sneaks in, Thank you Smithfield PD for staying on top of this.

  5. Oh please… When all is said and done, all these sex places and most sex crimes (not all) are all because someone wants to “satisfy themselves” or their stupid fantasies, yes, I said STUPID.

Ok, fantasy is ok in some respects.. Like being rich or famous or going on a trip you don’t feel is reachable… HEALTHY fantasy… And before someone says that some erotic fantasies are healthy, ok.. They may be. But when idiots get real psycho into it causes issues which can lead to trouble, danger and devastation for some families and young girls or boys…

Maybe a long time ago it wasn’t as bad but these days, it is…

It has nothing to do with jealousy from a woman (cause that is where people go next…”you’re just jealous cause of this or that”.) Men mostly say that. So, if women can be a “Karen”, men like that can be a “Skeeter” with a mullot haircut and a wad of tobacco in his mouth…

    • Please educate yourself instead of speaking an untrue opinion. There are many people in this world that either through a physical or psychological issues find normal relationships difficult or impossible. They have to have some way to experience human contact as well, other than to go out and rape someone. There is nothing wrong with one’s own sexuality, if you think there is you need phycological help yourself.
