Brad Salmon Appointed To Serve As Deputy Commissioner On The North Carolina Industrial Commission

RALEIGH – The Industrial Commission has announced the appointment of Brad Salmon to serve as a Deputy Commissioner beginning June 9, 2025.

Salmon brings significant judicial experience to the Industrial Commission, having served as a District Court Judge, first in Judicial District 11 and then in Judicial District 12, and having served as a Magistrate in Lee County.

In September 2024, Governor Roy Cooper appointed Mr. Salmon to serve as District Court Judge serving Johnston, Harnett and Lee counties.

Salmon’s public service also includes his membership in the North Carolina House of Representatives, where he represented District 51 during the 2015-2016 Session. During his time in the legislature, Salmon served on several committees, including Judiciary II; Appropriations; Appropriations on Justice and Public Safety; Agriculture; and Children, Youth and Families.

Prior to becoming a District Court Judge, Salmon practiced law at The Salmon Law Firm, LLP for nine years. Salmon earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and his law degree from Campbell University.

Salmon will be assigned to the Commission’s Raleigh Office.
