Driver Escapes Injury In US 70 Accident

SELMA – A 17-year-old driver escaped injury when her car hydroplaned, spun around and slammed into the wood line, Tuesday afternoon.

There was heavy rain falling at the time of the accident on US 70 between Oak Street and Buffalo Road.

Her headlights were all that could be seen from the roadway, but an automatic crash notification system alerted Selma Fire, Johnston County EMS and the State Highway Patrol of the single car mishap.
