Driver Trapped In Overturned Car

SELMA – Shortly after 11:00 p.m. Friday, a driver traveled off NC Highway 96 north of Selma in a curve and struck a driveway culvert.

The car and driver were flipped upside down and ended up in the front yard of a home.

Selma Fire Department firefighters extricated the injured driver. He was transported by Johnston County EMS to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

The NC State Highway Patrol investigated the single car accident.

  1. Nothing new there or Buffalo road. We can’t get the highway patrol or the sheriff’s office to patrol either road. It’s dangerous for the people like myself to pull out of our driveways because people are doing mach Jesus and then pass you on a double line and about take out the oncoming traffic. Just ask anyone in the Live Oak community. So when they’re bottom upwards, I just smile.

  2. Stay alert when you drive! Put the phones down, lookout for deer and DRIVE safe for everyone including yourself

  3. People these days are not paying attention. There should be stuffer penalties for those who cause accidents.
