Driver Killed In I-95 Wreck Identified

FOUR OAKS – A single vehicle accident on Interstate 95 claimed the life of one person. The accident happened just before 3:00pm Monday in the southbound lanes near US 701 (Exit 90).

A white work van was traveling southbound when it veered off the interstate to the right, collided with the metal post to a large road sign, then struck a tree head-on.

The driver died at the scene. There were no passengers.

The victim was identified as 63 year-old Robert Ziccardi of Princeton.
