Filling Pieces – Less Is More FW14

Filling Pieces – Less Is More FW14

FillingPieces3_1 - post.Filling Pieces, an Amsterdam-based footwear brand, specializes in combining high fashion and street footwear. They have recently unleashed their fall 2014 collection, Less Is More.

Less is More, is derived from minimalistic design. The concept of the collection was based off of the 1855 poem called ‘The Faultless Painter’, which was readopted by the architect Ludwig Miles van der Rohe. You will see a lot of minimalistic detailing throughout the collection such as the placement of leather linings and the usage of Liberty of London’s floral and boat print fabrics.

Besides from their new addition of their silhouette, the era low model, they have kept their classic form of their footwear styles the same such as the low top, high top, mountain boot and mountain cut trainer. The new addition is modeled from the classic skate shoe from the 1970’s. they’ve redesigned the shoe to take form of a sophisticated modern day version. Along with the introduction of their new silhouette, Filling pieces has also incorporated new fabrications to their collection such as TSA woven leather, leather and cotton wire woven patterns, natural grain, Scottisch grain leather and marbleized rubber margom cup soles.
