Cushnie et Ochs Spring Summer 2018

After reading that “florals and pastels prevailed,” the first thought to cross one’s mind was the iconic Runway Magazine Editor-in-Chief, Miranda Priestly, in The Devil Wears Prada.

However, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are women who have curated a true “girl’s girl” high fashion line that caters to the sexy, ladylike aesthetic. The design duo, that is Cushnie et Ochs, stayed true to the Spring season necessities: pretty pastels and feminine florals. In a line full of pastels and florals, darker hues like black and navy were pops of color. The opening look was a gorgeous, corseted LBD (little black dress). The dress was paired with thigh-high, floral embellished boots. Looks that followed included lots of slits, cutouts and ruffles. Ruffles noticeably being a trend with serious staying power, while many others have lost steam. Every year people are eager to see what Cushnie et Ochs deliver, and based on the pictures below, they are nowhere near disappointing.
